Update: Otto & Bear are now safely in the UK, they have finished quarantine and are in foster at present. They are doing really well and adjusting beautifully.
These 2 sweet, friendly dogs had never known love or comfort or a walk or even had the opportunity to smell the grass, there whole lives spent in a concrete pen being bullied!!!!
They are fully vaccinated and are neutered.
Otto has had his ears treated.
Free at last from the bullies and there awful life behind them we look forward to the future for them, could you give Bear and Otto the home and the love they have waited there whole life for...

HOLIDAY ROMANCE COUPLE REQUIRE UK RETIREMENT HOME!!!
Bear and Otto are like a middle-aged married couple, who desperately want a forever home together, where they can be loved and given the attention they deserve.
Bear and Otto joined my family as fosters in early January 2011. Prior to this, we visited them on our own and with our youngest dog, on a few occasions, so they could get used to us. We knew instantly they were a very special couple who adored each other.
Nearly 3 months on, Bear and Otto are STILL looking for their forever home. They don’t ask for much: a secure garden where they can find a sunny spot to sunbathe in, good food, good walks, some fuss and attention, and of course a cosy bed or 2 to lie on (they often snuggle up together on one). They are not demanding dogs. They are not shadows who follow you around. They do not beg, jump up, nor snap. Inspite of a miserable past, they have very gentle souls and beautiful manners.
Bear’s confidence has grown enormously since being with us and is now able to be walked off lead, away from roads. Her recall is pretty good and improving daily. She is calm when being bathed and groomed, though not too keen on having her ears cleaned. She is incredibly gentle and a total softie.
Otto’s confidence has also improved greatly and is not so reliant on Bear now for reassurance. He is a real character and has a wonderful hound bark! He wags his tail a lot now and no longer hangs his head. His playful streak has developed in the past month, learning what toys are, playing with other dogs and getting excited before walks. He loves his food and is no problem taking his medication. Otto is still a nervous dog though. He is still expecting to be hurt. He doesn’t like his legs or paws being touched but we are working on this. His recall is not good, as he is still nervous, so therefore letting him off the lead on walks, will take time, a lot of patience and training. Their walking on leads has improved enormously and they don’t pull too much now.
Even though Bear and Otto had never lived in a house before, they haven’t had many ‘accidents’ in our house. Otto will literally do his ‘business’ on command when out on walks now and Bear is doing well too. Patience, understanding and training will need to continue with this.
Bear and Otto can be rehomed with other dogs, or be on their own together. They love meeting dogs on walks and are fantastic with both dogs and owners alike. They can live with children (preferably over 7 years of age who are dog-savvy and respectful). They could probably live with cats if introduced properly. Bear and Otto are currently located in Eversley, North East Hampshire.
PLEASE DON’T LET THIS ADORABLE COUPLE BE SEPARATED, THEY MUST FIND A HOME TOGETHER!

BEAR: 5 years, female Collie. OTTO: 7 years, male crossbreed.
These two lovely dogs must stay together. They can be visited by appointment.
